The known origins of ribbon date back to 1,500 BCE, when weavers used ribbon to trim garments, although ribbon most likely was used long before that. Traditionally made from a variety of different fabrics including sturdy unspun materials, but ribbon has also been made from more lightweight fabrics including silk. Our ribbon and tape collection included ribbon made from burlap, satin, and grosgrain. All of these can be used for many purposes including sewing, crafts, and gifts. Our twill tape and double bias tape are important additions to your sewing or craft room as well.
